The service checks the company and its representatives, including: board members, CEO, beneficial owners, and registered representatives.

It is of utmost importance that all personal data and sensitive information is handled with confidentiality and high integrity in accordance with the laws governing the protection of personal data (e.g. GDPR). Therefore, the service is designed so that it does not disclose or store personal data, but still provides information about crimes or other reasons that should lead to exclusion.

Avoid unreliable suppliers

Public sector

When procuring goods and services in accordance with the Public Procurement Act (LOU), you as the procuring party are required to ensure that bidders do not have a criminal background. The functionality to check towards Swedish legal database is a convenient tool for carrying out this check in a comprehensive manner. As the service is based entirely on the grounds for exclusion in LOU, you can be confident that you will find the court rulings that may constitute grounds for exclusion. Performing this type of check is an important part of preventing unscrupulous operators from competing against good and reputable suppliers in your procurements.

Private company

It is not only public sector organizations that benefit from checking potential and existing suppliers against the Swedish legal database. Even though there are no legal requirements for this check, it is just as important and effective in identifying unscrupulous suppliers. Of the companies checked by us, or our partner Kapitel13, nearly 3% have been convicted of offenses that constitute grounds for exclusion under the Public Procurement Act – in other words, suppliers you probably do not want to do business with.
